The Architecture of Historic St. Joseph Missouri: A Coloring Book for Children of All Ages
Two local non-profit organizations partnered in this fund-raising project to help promote appreciation for the history and architecture of our city through publication of a coloring book designed for children and adults. The coloring book, entitled “The Architecture of Historic St. Joseph Missouri – A Coloring Book for Children of All Ages” features twenty notable examples of St. Joseph’s historic architecture.
Talented artist Cheryl Simonis created the artwork for the book. Cheryl has a passion for architectural drawing, and her artwork is well-known for its superb skill and attention to detail. In addition to the 20 line-drawings included in the book, Cheryl rendered four of the subjects in color to appear on the front and back covers of the book. Local business owner Isobel McGowan, Owner/Innkeeper of the Shakespeare Chateau, researched and wrote notes about the history and architecture of each of the subjects included in the book.
